Pinch me...

I saw her Sunday.

It was just for a few second, but I know I saw her.

She was standing, holding someones hand. Except it wasn't someone. It was nothing. She was tightly gripping nothing with her left hand.

Instinct kicked in.

I jumped out of bed, ran outside my door.

But no...I wasn't in the street.

I looked around...the tall men...

they were as black

as ink.

Each had a never ending maze of arms, carrying thousand of faces...

They faces began to fall...each one of a different child...

Was I dreaming?

No...I felt the cool breeze hit my face...I heard heard the mourning of the faces as they each hit the ground...

I took a step...

and now...

I'm here.

Log #8

"Those who have compared our life to a dream were right.... We sleeping wake, and waking sleep."

Dream:

Nothing again today. Or at least my journal's page is blank, which leads me to assume that I didn't remember my dream. I fell asleep...I think?

Note: It's pretty early here. Woke up today, and the first thought that popped into my head was the girl that went missing from the train wreck. She looks so happy and carefree in her pictures that are scattered throughout the town. I heard that they sent out a small search group around the parameter of the crash to look for her. I hope she is alright.

Till Tomorrow,

William

Dream:

No Sleep.

Note: Had a rough time falling asleep last night. Blank page in my journal.

Update and First Follower!

Seeing that my profile views jumped from 90, to 122 overnight, makes me think you guys are more interested in this train crash than my actual dreams. Oh well, here's a small summary of what the breaking news said today.

Basically, a passenger train (which we rarely have come through here) hit something. (Not really news, but whatever.) Continuing with the summary...apparently upon impact, the train derailed, fell on its side, and grinded (grounded? I don't know...) to a halt, 300 yards after the actual derailing. Everyone was okay, except for this one little girl. According to her mother, when it was her turn to climb out of the the train (with the aid of firemen of course), her daughter was nowhere to be found. The conductor is currently being investigated for drug or alcohol abuse. The reporter said that he continued to ask the firemen if they found the "man who was hit". Police speculate the train hit an 18 wheeler.

You should see the town. It's covered in missing girl flyers. Also, sorry I couldn't get any pictures. The police were there alllllllll day yesterday, and this morning. They wouldn't let anyone get close. Anyway, it wouldn't matter, my camera's battery was out of juice.

Now, for my first follower. I wasn't expecting a uh..."proxiehunter", but beggars can't be choosers. Welcome!

Log #6 The First Lucid Dream

"A dream which is not interpreted is like a letter which is not read."

Dream

Note: Before I tell you about this dream, please note I was aware of that I was dreaming, however, I had no control of my dream. This is common for the first couple of lucid dreams, so if it happens to you DON'T BE DISCOURAGED :]! Also, please bear with the in-text notes. I don't really use them, but this dream was a little hard to read and understand from my journal. Thanks!

I was in the woods, walking along a path with my best friend Scott. We were exchanging small talk throughout the walk, but nothing I could remember. I looked down at my wristwatch, and it said 5:30. I checked it again, and it said 11:15. (This is where I began to realize I was dreaming)

The trees began to grow taller and the leaves fell from the tree faster than anything I had seen. My dream was changing. I turned to look at Scott but instead met face to face with a small boy in a bunny mask. (I think this was the same type of mask from my other dream. It's common to have certain objects re-appear in your dreams.) I was holding his hand for some reason. I asked him who he was, but there was no response. (In my journal, I wrote " Tried to lift his mask a little. Underneath was..." where the description of what was under the mask was supposed to be, was scribble. So I guess I must have forgotten) Actually, it seemed like I knew who he was. I continued to walk with this alleged stranger, till the path ended at a giant tree. I stopped and looked around. All the trees were now black as ink, as well as their leaves. The only way to distinguish them from the night sky was the eerie fog that had crept in. (It should also be noted that throughout this dream, even with the ominous background, I did not feel scared or insecure.)

The child let go of my hand and ran to the big tree, jumping over its roots. It stopped and turned its head towards me. Something began to move from behind the tree...I don't know what exactly. Then I heard a loud noise...

BOOM. Woke up to my alarm clock. Don't know whether to call this a lucid dream or a lucid nightmare. Anyway, like I previously posted, I'm going to go check out that train crash soon.

Till tomorrow,

William

Train Crash?

So, I'm sitting here trying to decipher what I wrote this morning in my ACTUAL dream journal (which is exciting giving that it was actually LUCID!), when I hear this extraordinary sound! The only way I could describe it would be a fusion of a fog horn and a train horn. It was actually pretty loud. Felt like it shook the house a little...

Anyway, that's not the cool part. After the horn sound was this loud crash. At first I thought "Hmmm, someone must have gotten into a really bad wreck", but then seven or eight police cars went zooming by my house. Now when do seven or eight police cars go to a car wreck? Never! Then it struck me...I live right next to a railroad. It must have been the train that hit something.

I know this has nothing to do with dreams, but how often do you hear, or better yet, see a train crash?

Exactly.

I'm going to head down there once all of the police are gone and take a few pictures for you guys. Should be cool, as long as no one was hurt.

Didn't sleep.

Note: Just so you guys know, yesterday was my best friends birthday. We did our annual all-nighter. However, I'm still going to log just to stay in the habit.

"The best thing about dreams is that fleeting moment, when you are between asleep and awake, when you don't know the difference between reality and fantasy, when for just that one moment you feel with your entire soul that the dream is reality, and it really happened."

Dream (almost Lucid again!):

I was running back and forth from my house, through the back gate, ended up near a volcano, to a fissure in the volcano that lead down to an amazing paradise, back to the house. Each time i had more suitcases. I think we were running from...well...the apocalypse. It was me, my sister, and my best friend Scott. Every time I would run back, I would see my sister wrapping stuff in bubble wrap, and putting said object being wrapped in a box. I would then run it to the fissure drop it down and run back. My dad was also there, after the last run. Though I don't remember much because I was beginning to wake up.

Note: The reason why this dream was also almost lucid, is because I remember having the dream, WHILE I was in the dream. I remembered that under the fissure was paradise and not volcanic lava. When I looked down into the fissure in my dream, I said "I knew it".

"All that we see or seem, is but a dream within a dream."

Dream (BORING):

The dream started off with me following my mother in a car to a parking deck. I lost sight of her, so continued to travel up the parking deck. On the 3rd floor, the roads became thinner and thinner, and turns became 180 degrees, rising up, only big enough for a bike. For some reason though my car was able to climb the deck and reach a longggggg road at the top. There was a man at the end of the road but the dream quickly changed.

Dream (Almost lucid!):

We were in the woods, driving back from somewhere. We were in a type of van. Suddenly we ended up in a neighborhood with HUGE houses. We were met with another van that had 10 people in it. They jumped out of the car, looking like rebels from a 3rd world country. They began running towards our van. They wanted someone in the van. They began to attack. We all jumped out of the car. I began to run for some reason. I felt as though I was a very important person to the people I was being escorted by. On the right side of the street were all the tall buildings. The other side was a trench like dip after the curb. I jumped into the trench. I peeked over the curb to see most of the houses on fire, and shots being fired. It was an all out war. I actually saw one fight in particular. I can't put the whole fight together, though, I know that it was 2 vs 1.Two of the "rebels" vs a man I was in the car with. He used a katana. He won, but sacrificed himself for me. Right after he died, two of my other escorts got pushed down right in front of the curb I was peeking over. I was going to get up and help them, but one of them looked back and shook his head. They were both executed.

I heard a loud noise and looked to my left. There was a robot standing there. It was a EUREKA-7 looking robot. It held its arms up and emitted a loud sound. One of the houses in front of it began to open , revealing a huge ship. The robot, as agile as an Olympic gymnast, jumped onto the ship and hung on with one hand. The ship took off.

After that, i rolled back down in the hill, curled up, for exactly five days. Everyday I heard the rebels come back to search for me, even though I was in plain sight, they never found me. I would hear "look over there, there's blue liquid, this is where it happened".

Note: I bet you're wondering how this dream is somewhat lucid. Well, as it turns out, I've had this dream once before! About three seconds before I awoke, I realized...I've had this dream before. I knew I was dreaming. Even though it was three seconds, it's a start!

Till tomorrow,

William.

Log #2

"Dreaming permits each and every one of us to be quietly and safely insane every night of our lives."

Dream:

...I opened a chest and began rummaging through it. It had different masks, each vibrant in colors. I proceeded to put them on, one by one. Each of them imaged a different animal and lead me to different places. The fox mask lead me to a place where humans all walked upside down. The rabbit mask lead me to a place where everyone spoke complete gibberish. The bull mask lead me to a place where I was everyone. (Kinda weird right?)

Note: There were several other masks noted in the journal, though the places they took you to weren't described in the journal. Dunno if it's because I couldn't remember where they took you or because I wanted to go back to sleep so badly. These included an upside down rabbit mask (kinda hard to think of, since you should be able to turn it right side up right?), a frowning mask, a smiling mask, and last a blank mask.

Till tomorrow,

William

"Dreams are  successions of images, ideas, emotions, and sensations that occur involuntarily in the mind during certain stages of sleep."

Dream:

I was in a building. Outstanding in height, yet only big enough for me. I had my own little miniature desk, miniature paper, and even a miniature pen. I sat nose to one wall, back to the other, awaiting for my first customer. What I was selling, I have no idea.

The small door flings open and a small women (about three inches high) walks in. She is dressed in what seems to be an outfit from the Victorian era. One of my legs shift and hits her in the face. She begins to spout words that can only be described as gibberish. I quickly try to apologize, explaining that there is only so much room in this building.

-Woke up to use the bathroom, wrote that down before i went back to sleep-

Sadly, I don't remember my dream from when I went back to sleep. Speaking of this, a lot of people claim to not have dreams. However, this is not the case. Everybody dreams at least 3-4 times a day. The problem is, most people don't remember them. So if you think you didn't have a dream...think again!

William

Introduction into Lucid Dreaming

"A lucid dream, in simplest terms, is a dream in which one is aware that one is dreaming."

Dreams. A gateway into the mind's eye, where logic and reason have no meaning. A place where you can meet a horse-cat named Herbert and ride him into the sunset...literally. A place where you can escape reality and live the life you've always wanted. However, most dreams are on auto-pilot, meaning you don't realize you're dreaming, nor do you have any control over them, until you wake up. This is where lucid dreaming comes into play...

It's been about four days since i've first discovered the term "lucid dreaming". I was amazed at the thought of being  aware that I am dreaming and altering the dream to my desire. With a few days of watching You-tube videos, reading how-to guides, and a little background research I feel confident enough to attempt a lucid dream.

In this blog I will be recording my dreams for the next four weeks or so, as this is the first and most important step to having your own lucid dream. Recording your dreams is one of the easiest ways to remember them. In order to be able to recognize your dreams as...well...dreams while they're happening, you have to be familiar with the way your own dreams work

This is merely meant to be a journal for myself (to keep track of my dreams) and an informative blog for any who wish to seek out help or information of lucid dreaming. Please remember everyone is unique. My  results may differ from yours, however, do not let this discourage you! Everyone can have a lucid dream with much practice and hard work.

Till tomorrow,

William
